During the latter part of 2003, Anglia Television ran a series of 8 half hour programmes entitled 'The Real Redcaps'  which outlined the work of the Royal Military Police and the MCTC  as of the present day including footage of the present Iraq situation.  We have been fortunate to have been able to purchase the entire programme which has been professionally edited by Anglia Television and takes the form of 2 VHS tapes in a presentation box.

It is felt that the tapes would be of great interest to both RMPA members and serving RMP & MCTC personnel.

The tapes are available from the Regimental Secretary, RHQ Royal Military Police, Roussillan Bks, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 6BL  Telephone: 01243-534225 and are priced at a very reasonable £19.95.

Orders may be placed either individually or through RMPA Branches and it is requested that orders are accompanied by either cash or cheque.  All profits from sales will go to the RMP Benevolent Fund.

Our thanks go to Reg Smith for providing the URL for an extremely interesting site in which Gillman Barracks gets a mention.  The site provides an in depth story of one mans experiences in the time leading up to the Japanese invasion and his subsequent imprisonment by them.  Well worth a read.  The URL is http://www.far-eastern-heroes.org.uk/Richard_Swarbricks_War/html/singapore.htm
